Session #7 Frank Greco and Peter Moskovits
@frankgreco @peterm_kaazing @Kaazing
Frank and Peter wrapped up the day nicely with their perspective from Kaazing, and great demonstrations of real time data and control of devices.
*Interconnected networks = Internet
*The web = popular service on the Internet since the late 1980s
*URL became a deployment of a simplified way to get around, accessed by browsers
*2 major Protocols
*“Ubiquitous Computing” from Mark Weisner PARC 1988, connecting islands of networks together.
*How do we get large amounts of data to the client, while only keeping small amounts of data uploading to the servers?
*Data helps predict the future
*Architecture of the data – there could be intermediaries who compact and interpret the data before passing it up to another level.
*This technology revolutionizes how we can reach out to mobile devices, bi-directional communication. Connect the devices and the control.
*Peter showed a demonstration of a remote friend controlling a car. The car was in the conference room, the friend was at a coffeeshop miles away and used his own phone to control the car. Amazing.
